Version 1.0 — first release

5 November 2026

  • Press ⌘ ⇧ 2 anywhere: the screen freezes, you drag over any text, and it is in your clipboard when you let go. A small panel next to the selection shows what was copied.
  • Three modes in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen or in the panel: Text, Table and Translate.
  • Table: paste into Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets as cells, or copy the table as CSV or Markdown.
  • Translate (macOS 15 and later): the text in your language next to the original, translated on your Mac with Apple’s translation.
  • QR codes and barcodes are detected. Links, email addresses and phone numbers show up as buttons.
  • Press ⌘ ⇧ 1 to read the same area again.
  • Recent captures in the menu bar. History keeps text only and can be turned off.
  • Reads English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Ukrainian and Russian, and more on newer macOS.
  • Works offline. Copyable makes no network requests and has no account.
